Bike for Tykes Raises $320,000 for Children’s Cancer in Just 4 Hours!

Today the Bike for Tykes charity event, in partnership with the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation raised over $320,000 in just 4 hours with their annual spinning event held at the TD Centre in downtown Toronto.

Jeff Rushton, partner at event sponsor Media Resources Inc, pictured below with the mascot of fellow sponsor Great Wolf Lodge of the Jim Pattison group of companies was just one of over 1,100 people who took part in the 4 hour event to raise money for the charity.

Rushton, who is the founder and a very passionate volunteer for the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation says “100% of all proceeds raised at this event goes right into the Kids Cancer Research Center at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital, it’s a lot of fun with lots of great people getting in shape and raising money to help an important cause.

The annual event brings together teams or individuals to participate in four exhilarating hours of spin relay on stationary bikes in the Toronto financial district. As many as 200 teams and over 1,100 participants take part, while child ambassadors cheer the spinners on!
