Summary:

As a Senior Inventory & Warehouse Specialist, the successful incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the organization’s inventory level, and the efficiency of handling of the Company’s products and supplies is critical for the attainment of our business goals.  As a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities.  This successful individual possesses great attention to detail and a business mindset.  The goal is to ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives.

 

The primary responsibilities and duties include; but are not limited to:

  • Responsible work in the operation of a parts, materials or warehouse.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, storage, and shipment / transfer of product to and from the location
  • Manage and coordinate the flow of work through the team so that metrics are attained on a consistent basis.
  • Establish and execute cycle count schedule in compliance with the corporate accounting objectives
  • To coordinate and oversee the daily cycle counts of the various inventory assets
  • Investigate, identify and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages
  • Audit process along with paper flow errors and try to spot the inconsistencies that affect the accuracy of the inventories
  • Proactively identify and assess the impact of issues and deficiencies negatively impaction the department
  • Support and aid in the development of system and processes for continuous improvement
  • Work with all department supervisors and management team to identify and understand key projects, initiatives and workloads
  • Lead and direct regular efforts to verify inventory, participate in monthly, quarterly, year-end inventory cycle counts
  • Assist in Developing and producing reports, accompanied by other key metrics
  • Prepare, analyze and perform various inventory transactions and accurate inventory reconciliations
  • Review and initiate purchase orders to ascertain that parts, materials and supplies are properly received, delivered and receipted prior to recommending payment.
  • Receive parts, materials or supply requests from individuals authorized to submit requests.
  • Remove parts, materials and supplies used from inventory record, as applicable.
  • Inspect parts received as to quality and quantity in compliance with established standards.
  • Order and/or issue a great variety of parts materials and or supplies.
  • Place orders for parts with approved vendors.
  • Keep operating records and make reports as required.
  • Post daily transactions to inventory control system(s) as applicable.
  • Load/unload materials within a warehouse/yard utilizing hand trucks, fork lifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move materials
  • Receive materials – signs off, unpacks, records and dispatches when appropriate
  • Inspects goods upon delivery to verify delivered goods match order specifications and are in good condition
  • Research any delivery delays/inconsistencies of materials ordered against Purchase Order (PO)
  • Report damaged goods to vendor for action
  • Record received materials in inventory system
  • Sort, label and store delivered goods in appropriate location
  • Perform routine cleaning of storage facility and keeps it orderly
  • Other additional responsibilities and duties as

 

Requirements / Qualifications:

 

Academic Training:

  • Education in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or relevant

 

Work Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in warehousing operations (receiving, recording and issuing parts, supplies and materials), or procurement activities (material ordering, specifying, etc.); or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Signage industry knowledge is a plus.

  • Considerable knowledge of general operations of area of responsibility and considerable knowledge of the parts, materials, and supplies stocked and their use.
  • Knowledge of business math and computer and electronic data processing application and operation.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and to prepare reports and maintain records.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with fellow workers and vendors.
  • Ability to determine quality goods against prescribed specifications.
