The Petes home opener was one for the books, for more than just their amazing win.
On October 14th, 2021 the Peterborough Memorial Centre unveiled their new state-of-the-art digital scoreboard at their first home game since the beginning of the pandemic. Media Resources was contracted by Signarama Peterborough to be the digital provider for the new PMC digital scoreboard. This display is the highest resolution scoreboard in the Canadian Hockey League using our 3.9 mm SMD Fine Pixel Pitch display and is fully integrated with MotionRocket LaunchPad. The Centre Hung display consists of four 2’ x 6’ corner panel displays, four 6’ x 13’ displays, and one curved 2’ x 42” ring display. As the digital providers MRI also provided the scoreboard lights, a new goal horn, locker room clock displays (synchronized with the centre hung scoreboard), and a new fan camera that captures the game’s best moments on & off the ice in high definition!
From concept to creation
But the fun doesn’t stop there!
Our team was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to witness the scoreboard’s first game all thanks to the generosity of the Peterborough Memorial Centre, The Petes, and Signarama Peterborough. This event was our first IN PERSON event since the beginning of the pandemic, giving Media Resources the opportunity to unwind, celebrate and come together to cheer on the success of our team’s hard work.
