About This Opportunity

As a Business Development Executive, you are responsible for identifying new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business grow. You will also be a profound force in driving this growing marketing platform. You will develop marketing strategies and execution plans that drive product awareness and adoption of our products.

To excel in this role, you should be a proven hunter and have a compelling sales personality with the hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads. This individual should be someone who can think strategically – assisting in the ability to drive sustainable financial growth through the boosting of sales and forging a strong relationship with clients.

The primary responsibilities and duties include; but are not limited to:

  • Work in conjunction with the Sales, Marketing, and management teams to identify and develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop accounts and maintain the momentum of opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Increase the value of current customers while conducting market research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Identify and analyze high-level customer requirements and inform them about relevant solutions.
  • Executing our business development/sales strategy designed with tangible goals, clear steps to those goals, and performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Promote the company’s products/services by addressing or predicting clients’ objectives by building and cultivating productive relationships with clients, prospects, and key stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Management team, establish annual and monthly sales goals, profit margins, and expense budgets.
  • Prepare and maintain proposals/contractual documentation and effectively present plans to potential clients.
  • Collaborate and provide strategic leadership with other team members and stakeholders in developing effective solutions to customer problems.
  • Creating strong positioning for MRI that feeds into the overall brand story, pitch opportunities, and customer value proposition.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to support sales and profitability objectives.
  • Develop and implement a corporate advertising and communication strategy
  • Develop and implement marketing and corporate images policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement online marketing and advertising strategies
  • Create and maintain tools to attract and close deals, including presentations, marketing collateral and content, proposals, and scripts.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Ensure accuracy, professionalism, and legal compliance of marketing and communication materials
  • Perform such other duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications:

Academic Training:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration (major/emphasis in marketing, business, or communications preferred, but not required).

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a B2B sales role
  • Sales experience in the manufacturing signage industry is an asset

  • Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Hubspot, and Google Analytics.
  • Power-user of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Can travel throughout Canada and the United States.
