Print Press Operator

Position Details:        

• Full-Time, Permanent
• On-site (No Remote Work Eligibility)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday

Location: Mississauga, ON

Primary responsibilities and duties include; but are not limited to:

• Must be able to operate a Vutek, HP, INCA Others
• Must know colour and be able to monitor while operating a press
• Be able to read and understand a working docket / understand job layouts
• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on machines / keep work areas clean
• Use the shop-floor system to log in/out of jobs
• Examines product frequently to ensure that it meets customer quality standards and specifications
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures, and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out – tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies, and all strict Covid-19 protocols
• Monitor of consumables
• Ensuring continuous improvement throughout all levels of the process
• Ability to work occasional overtime in evenings and/or weekends during peak period
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned

Specific Competencies:

• Must have digital print work experience
  • Hands-on experience in wide or narrow-format digital print production
• Ability to learn to operate a digital press.
• Have a keen eye for colour and details,
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs,
• Be quality conscious and a team player, and
• Able to stand throughout most of the workday.
• Bave a solid command of English (speaking/reading) to interpret production orders
• Work with our customer service team for job quality signoffs.
